The Landes coast is one of France's great golfing corners: a cluster of celebrated courses carved through fragrant pine forest, playable in shirtsleeves for much of the year. From Marge 724 you're barely a couple of kilometres from the first tee.
Golf d'Hossegor โ on the doorstep
Founded in 1930, Golf d'Hossegor is a much-loved classic: an 18-hole course laid out through mature umbrella pines, prizing placement and finesse over sheer length. Its timeless character and dappled, tree-lined fairways make it a favourite of visitors and members alike โ and it's roughly 2 km from the villa, a five-minute drive.
Golf de Seignosse โ a modern masterpiece
A short drive north, Golf de Seignosse (designed by the American architect Robert von Hagge and opened in 1989) is regularly ranked among the best courses in France. Dramatic changes in elevation, doglegs and water carries wind through pine and oak โ a genuine test, and a beautiful one.
Golf de Moliets โ forest meets ocean
Further up the coast, Golf de Moliets was designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. Its variety is the draw: sheltered forest holes give way to more exposed, links-like stretches near the dunes and the sea.

Planning your golf holiday

- Best conditions are spring and autumn โ mild, quiet and green โ though the courses play well most of the year.
- Buggies, club hire and lessons are generally available; check each club when you reserve.
- With three quality courses so close together, a multi-course golf week is easily done from a single base.
